To Kit

February 19, 2013

First of all, I’m keeping the name as a way of forcing your hand in a couple of weeks. Either you show us the money shot or it’s more Kit time for you. It’s not so bad actually, Bowfinger was an underrated movie.

Secondly, this will be the only time in your life when I encourage you to display your defining parts for a camera. So enjoy it while it lasts.

On a third and final note, I just wanted to tell you that I’m getting attached. Please believe me when I say that any delay in expression of this feeling wasn’t because I loved you any less. I was just so terrified about losing you. Excepting a bizarre twist of fate, you are the fourth corner of our family. The one who squares us away. You’ll be a second child like me. I’ll sympathize with your feelings of insignificance and bust you when you’re overplaying the baby card. You’ll be the last of so many things that I’ll want to hang on to forever.  Steps, words, puns.

There you have it, kid. I’m putting my love out there for everyone to see, and I’m never taking it back.

  1. aw, so sweet, ronn! kit’s one lucky little baby. let’s not be talking about the “lasts”, though – bittersweet for this auntie!

Well, Kit will certainly be lucky to have such a loving auntie. As far as the “lasts,” I’m sure that talk is a long way off for the multi-Pakks, right?
